A Journey of Redemption and Hope
Our Story

Every day, we are given 1,440 minutes β each one a chance to choose purpose, faith, and transformation.
Four years ago, I was invited to speak at a prison program, teaching sales, leadership, and mentorship. Nervous and unsure of what to expect, I encountered men whose stories mirrored my own β stories of pain, resilience, and hope. That day changed my life. I made a promise: to help them connect with business leaders who could walk alongside them, believe in their potential, and support their entrepreneurial dreams upon release.
From that moment, 1440 Promise was born.
We equip incarcerated men with faith-based entrepreneurial training. Business leaders share practical wisdom on budgeting, marketing, customer service, and more. These men are taught to think like entrepreneurs β and more importantly, to believe in themselves as sons of God with a divine purpose.
At its core, 1440 Promise is about redemption. We believe that Jesusβ death and resurrection were for every single one of us. What weβve been through may shape our story β but it doesnβt define our future.

Who We Are
Christ calls us to visit the prisoner β to bind up the brokenhearted and proclaim good news. So we go.
1440 Promise is a Christ-centered organization with more than 45 combined years of prison ministry experience. Our aim is to end recidivism through heart-level transformation, practical tools, and a real path to work and enterprise. Our programs are built to equip participants for re-entry success β success that starts within, and becomes the cornerstone of a healthy home and a resilient, purpose-driven life.
Our approach is intentional, collaborative, and deeply rooted in transformation. Working alongside dedicated staff, passionate volunteers, community partners, local leaders, and business owners, we close the gaps and remove the barriers these men face.
Every person we serve is met as a son of God β with dignity, agency, and purpose, never reduced to his worst decision. For every member of the 1440 Promise family, a transformed life awaits: one filled with purpose and resilience.
We are hope dealers.
Our Mission
Combat recidivism by empowering incarcerated individuals to achieve freedom through restoration, purpose, entrepreneurship, and positive community impact while on a Christ-centered journey.
Our Core Values
- Community β Finding our place in the larger story through a servanthood approach.
- Education β A lifelong commitment to discovery and to bettering oneself.
- Accountability β The obligation and willingness to accept responsibility for oneβs actions.
- Resilience β A commitment to withstand and recover quickly from difficulty, with gratitude.
- Integrity β Firm adherence to a code of high moral values.
What We Do
1440 Promise currently serves men at Jess Dunn Correctional Center through a ten-month journey β three months building character and identity, and seven months building the skills to work and lead.
1440 Discovery
Before a man can build a new future, he has to know who he is. 1440 Discovery is where that begins β restoring identity, uncovering purpose, and grounding each man in the truth that his past decisions do not define him. This is the foundation everything else is built on.
1440 Entrepreneurship
With a new foundation in place, men learn to think and build like entrepreneurs. Alongside visiting business leaders, they gain practical training in leadership, character, and enterprise β the real-world tools to work, provide, and create a future worth staying free for.
The Why
Each person matters. We are dedicated to educating and empowering incarcerated men through a process of discovery and transformation.
We long to see the generational cycle associated with incarceration broken. Children need their parents, and healthy families build healthy communities. When a man finds hope and vision, it ripples into his family, his workplace, and his community.
